Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka's birthplace is Minsk in Belarus. Her father Sergey (d. 2019) was an ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born on 5 May 1998 in Minsk Belarus. Aryna Sabalenka holds 12 WTA Singles titles, one of which was crowned "Grand Slam" at the Australian Open 2023. As a specialist of doubles, she also has won the US Open of 2019 as and her first Australian Open of 2021 with Elise Mertens. She also achieved the Sunshine Double in 2019, taking the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open along with Elise and Mertens. Only four teams in women's Doubles were able to pull off. It was only four couples that achieved this feat during women's doubles. Following her victory at the Melbourne doubles event in February 2021 and gaining the doubles title, she managed rise up the rankings to take the first spot in that specialty. Dmitry Tursunov was her coach throughout 2018, up until the season ended in 2019. She also worked with him for a brief period before the year 2020 began. Dieter Kindlmann and her were in a brief relationship from August to September 2020. Her training has been provided by her fellow countryman Antonio Dubrov since the end of 2020. Serena Williams & Maria Sharapova have been her inspirations.
